My dad called me at 7:30AM and said Travis and Bryan Carlson found a MT. Lion track in Lake Creek. We were up there a little after 8:00AM and turned the dogs loose on the track. It was awesome to see all of them working together to try and find the cat. Finally after following the dogs in the snow for 2.5 miles they treed it. So I got some pictures of it. It was hard to get a good shot cause it was in the top of the tree. This cat was a small female so we didn't "Harvest" it, we are going to wait for a booner TOM.
It was kind of intimidating having a cougar 10 ft from you watching your every move. I wanted to pull a Scott McFee and climb the tree to get a better picture but we didn't have time.
This is one of the fierce hounds that tracked it.
Here is the Geezer(my dad), while we were hiking I asked him how in the world he was able to keep up the fast pace at 52 years old. ha ha, he is the man! I don't think that guy will ever slow down.
